Active Ride Shop | Advantages: On a DSL connection, this page loaded
fast even with the amount of graphics on the page. If you know what you
are looking for, the navigation makes it very simple to get to that
product and then there are subcategories and filters which would allow
you to narrow your choice down very quickly. Their inventory of products
appears to be very good. Disadvantages: The home page was extremely "busy", almost to the point of being overwhelming if you did not know exactly what you wanted with very little information about the company. There was no way that I could find to return to the home page from within the site. |
A1 Skateboards | Advantages: This site is easy to navigate by product
or by brand for a specific item. It has consistent navigation throughout
all of the pages. The home page has a clean look to it. Disadvantage: Site was slow to load. When you go to a product category you can only view one manufactures product at a time instead of being able to see all of the products from all of the manufactures and then sort them if you wanted to. |
ZigBoys | Advantages: The home page has information about the
company. Disadvantages: Pages load very slow. Two different hit counters on home page. One shows shows 36, the other shows 286; comments shows 0. No descriptions on many of the products. There is a search listing at the top of the page that does not work. The other search component only allows you to search by manufacturer. |
SkateAmerica | Advantages: Flashy graphic on home page. Pages load
quickly. Disadvantages: No content on home page. Site is very hard to navigate. |
KillerPeaks | Advantages: Site loaded quickly. A S.C. company Disadvantages: Very little information about the company. No product information other than they could order anything that you wanted. Navigation bar is not consistent throughout pages. The graphics change so quickly you do not have time to read what is there. |
